Use the correct PCB manual
This page is for Great Writer 100 keyboards with the V2 PCB. If your keyboard uses the V1 PCB, use the V1 PCB manual instead. Open V1 PCB manual →
The Great Writer 100 uses a compact full-size layout with a complete F-row, editing/navigation keys, a separated arrow cluster, and a numpad. V1 and V2 share the same physical key arrangement; the diagram below shows the common factory layout.

01
Current Device Only
After power-on or waking from sleep, the keyboard reconnects only to the current device. If reconnection fails, it enters sleep. Press any key to wake it, and it will continue trying to reconnect.
02
2.4G Reconnection
During 2.4G reconnection, the white indicator slowly flashes. After connection, it stays on for 2 seconds. Pressing a key during reconnection extends the reconnect window; if reconnection fails within 10 seconds after key release, the indicator turns off and the keyboard enters sleep.
03
Bluetooth Reconnection
During Bluetooth reconnection, the white indicator slowly flashes. After connection, it stays on for 2 seconds. If pairing was previously successful, the keyboard keeps the most recent successful pairing data even after a later pairing attempt fails.
04
Power Saving
When idle for 2 minutes, the keyboard turns off the backlight and enters power-saving mode. After another 28 minutes, it enters deep sleep. In power-saving mode, key presses respond immediately. In deep sleep, the first key press only wakes the keyboard.
